FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. What is included in the Daytona Jazz Weekend 2025 packages?  All hotel packages include reserved seat tickets for all Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening concerts in a covered, outdoor tent; hotel accommodations at The DAYTONA Hotel or Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Hotel for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights; Friday and Saturday breakfasts at your hotel; Friday and Saturday buffet dinners; special “unplugged” concert Saturday at the Daytona 500 Club at the Daytona International Speedway; and Sunday Brunch with artist Q&A panel.  Coffee and tea are provided with meals.  Alcoholic beverages and sodas are not included in the packages but can be purchased at the concerts and meals.  The Friday morning golf outing and Saturday afternoon wine tasting are optional and available for purchase by guests.

  2. How many guests will be at the Daytona Jazz Weekend? The Daytona Jazz Weekend 2025 is limited to less than 330 guests at reserved seats in a covered outdoor tent.

  3. Can I purchase only tickets to the concerts?  The Daytona Jazz Weekend is a weekend package event which includes concerts, hotel accommodations and meals.  A limited number of ticket packages for all three evenings of the concerts may become available within 10 days of the event; please join our email list to receive the announcement if available.

  4. What is The Florida Smooth Jazz Foundation? The Florida Smooth Jazz Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit Florida public charity which was founded in 2005 by Cathy Powers to produce, promote, and support concerts and events, and to support activities which foster music education and health education.   5. What time is check-in to the hotel?  Standard check-in time is 4 pm at The Daytona Hotel, and 3 pm at Fairfield Inn & Suites.  Early check-in can be requested directly from your hotel but cannot be guaranteed.

  6. What time is check-out from the hotel?  Standard check-out time is 11 am at The Daytona Hotel, and noon at Fairfield Inn & Suites, but late check-out can be requested by guests that are leaving on Sunday immediately following the Sunday Brunch/Artist Q&A.

  7. Is there assigned seating for the concerts?  Yes, all seating is assigned just like at regular concerts, so there is no need to wait in lines or rush to get your seat.  When renewing packages, returning guests will have the opportunity to keep their current seats or to upgrade their seating when available. You will be offered your seating choice in January in order of renewal for returning guests and by the order of package purchase for new guests.

  8. How does the returning guest renewal process work? All returning guests may renew their packages for the next event before packages are sold to new guests by placing a deposit before the deadline date. Room type and seating upgrades will be offered after returning guests finalize their package and will be processed in order of renewal date.   9. Is there assigned seating for the meals?  No, there is open seating for the meals.

  10. What is the dress code?  Resort Casual is suggested.  We discourage casual outdoor attire such as shorts and flip-flops at dinners and concerts.

  11. What is the performance schedule for the weekend?  The anticipated performance schedule can be viewed on the website Packages page (click here).

  12. Are all the artists at the hotel the entire weekend?  Most of our artists will stay at the host hotel the entire weekend.  However, there may be artists that cannot stay with us the entire weekend due to other commitments.

  13. How many guests can stay in one room?  Packages usually include two persons per room, but single occupancy packages and packages with three or four persons in one room are also available.  However, no more than four persons are permitted to stay in one room.   14. Can I extend my stay at the hotel before and/or after the event?  Additional nights can be added to your stay at the time of purchase of your Daytona Jazz Weekend package.

  15. Are VIP packages available?  Our event format treats all our guests as VIPs. However, a limited of seating upgrades may be available.

  16. Are payment plans available?  Yes, please see payment plan information on the website Packages page (click here) or ask for details at the time of purchasing your package. Late Payment Fees may be applied if payments are declined or not made within 5 days of due date.

  17. Is there on-site parking for my car and is there a fee?  Self-parking is included with your Daytona Jazz Weekend package at no additional charge.

  18. Is there a COVID-19 Safety Policy? Yes, please see the COVID-19 Safety Policy on the bottom of the Packages page (click here). Guests will be provided a COVID-19 Safety Policy at the time of the event if requested.

  19. What is the Daytona Jazz Weekend cancellation policy?   All purchases for the Daytona Jazz Weekend are non-refundable.  However, guest names associated with a purchase can be changed with approved written notice up to two weeks prior to the event with a $50 change fee.  We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for your protection and peace of mind (see next item for details). If the event is cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, guests will be offered the option of rolling over their package to the rescheduled event or receiving a refund.

  20. Is travel insurance available?  The Daytona Jazz Weekend recommends the purchase of travel insurance within 14 days of purchasing your package to provide effective coverage for the widest range of possibilities.  A quote for Travel Guard Insurance by AIG is available by request at the time of your package purchase, and you can visit their website https://www.travelguard.com/ to learn more.   21. What will I receive to confirm my package?  Whenever you make a payment toward your reservation, you will receive a detailed confirmation email of your room type and your reserved seating category.  Approximately one week prior to the event, you will receive an email which will include an updated event schedule and check in instructions.  Other arrangements can be made if you do not have access to email.  Please notify us with any change in your email address or phone number as soon as possible by calling 386-681-7007.

  22. Is smoking allowed?  Our hotels only allow smoking in designated outdoor areas.

  23. Which rooms have balconies?  Suites and Deluxe rooms at The Daytona Hotel have walk-out balconies.

  24. What is included in my room?  The Daytona Hotel provides mini-fridge, Nespresso coffeemaker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, in-room safe, 55-inch flat screen Smart TV with cable, and free Wi-Fi in each room. The Fairfield Inn & Suites provides mini-fridge, microwave, coffemaker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, 55-inch flat screen TV with cable, and free Wi-Fi in each room.

  25. What are the hotel amenities?  Heated pool with cabanas, fire pit, fitness center, and business center are some of the amenities at The Daytona (click here). The Fairfield Inn & Suites (click here) provides outdoor pool, outdoor patio seating, fitness center, and business center.

  26. Are pets allowed in the hotels?  No, only service animals are permitted.

  27. Can dietary, disability and medical needs be accommodated?  Yes, please describe your special needs when purchasing your package.

  28. What are the closest airports to the hotel?  Daytona Beach International (DAB) is only a mile away, Orlando Sanford International (SFB) is 37 miles, and Orlando International (MCO) is 67 miles driving distance from the hotel.
